Welcome to Yorkshire’s entry will be colourful, lively and stand out from the crowd - with branded cars, flag bearers and a unique brass band!

Four fully Yorkshire-branded BMW X3 cars will drive though the parade - each with giant Y attached to the roof.

This year, the cars have toured a variety of locations, including Spain for Vuelta a España (a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race) and the UCI Road World Championships in Innsbruck, Austria.

After today, the cars will continue their tour of Europe, championing Yorkshire as a world-class cycling destination. The branded cars have been supplied to Welcome to Yorkshire by Global and the giant Y’s were produced by Three Create.

Here’s a link to some images of the cars at various locations.

The cars will be accompanied by Back Chat Brass, a professional, Yorkshire based 7-piece band that will give a nod to their roots in pop, funk and hip hop - their brassy twist on classic tunes combined with electrifying showmanship is sure to stand out from the crowd.
