Guided Walks

Free guided walks led by City of London Guides

The City of London is amazing and the City Guides are here to help you discover its delights. The City, also known as the Square Mile, is the financial heart of London. It has been central to British history for centuries, and contains historic buildings from many ages. Your guide will take you to fascinating places and tell stories of people, events and traditions connected with the City, including the Lord Mayor’s Show.

The walks are free to all and you can just turn up and go. There are four different routes allocated at random, each lasting about one and a half hours. Walks start at 3pm, one walk leaving every 5 mins. Last walk will leave at approx. 4pm.

Starting from No 1 Poultry, the large pink and white building near Mansion House, by Bank underground station. The pace is gentle and suitable for all ages. The routes will be wheelchair friendly, with no steps and few hills.

Walks are FREE, but donations to the Lord Mayor’s Appeal would be welcome.

We look forward to seeing you on Show day.
