Arch Apprentices, Code Kingdoms & OnSide Youth Zones

2018 Procession Arch Apprentices, Code Kingdoms & OnSide Youth Zones

In keeping with the Lord Mayor’s theme for this year 'Shaping Tomorrow’s City Today', Arch Apprentices, Code Kingdoms and OnSide Youth Zones present the Career Fair of The Future.

With the rise of automation and AI, the nature of work is changing, and new educational opportunities and skills set are needed. To build the workforce of tomorrow, we need to start by equipping the children of today. Onside Youth Zones, Arch Apprentices and Code Kingdoms have joined forces to make this happen:

  • Arch Apprentices is an Ofsted 'Outstanding' Training Provider that helps people accelerate their careers through digital-first apprenticeship programmes.
  • Code Kingdoms gives kids the tools to code their own great games with Minecraft and Roblox
  • OnSide Youth Zones are safe and inspirational places for young people to spend their leisure time.

ARCH APPRENTICES

Arch Apprentices are here to offer young people the best start in their career. Whether they dream of being a marketing guru or business genius, a tech magician or HR extraordinaire, there is an exciting opportunity available to them.

Apprenticeships are a fantastic choice for young people who have an idea of the path they want to follow and the job it will lead them to. They offer the opportunity to fast-track their development and career, way ahead of their undergraduate peers, and earn a wage while doing so.

The opportunities available through an apprenticeship with Arch are endless. Work for world-class employers such as Coca-Cola, Sainsbury’s Argos, BT, Aegis, GSK, Unilever and many more. Or develop your skills with smaller enterprises and charities such as ZSL, Amnesty International and Prince’s Trust.

Arch Apprentices offer apprenticeships in digital, data, IT, HR, finance and management.

Have a taste of what Arch Apprentices bring to the younger generation by watching their annual graduation ceremony at Google UK's St Giles office.

Code Kingdoms

Code Kingdoms is creating the coding workforce of the future.

Code Kingdoms is an online platform that teaches children how to code. Used in 50+ countries, they’ve had over 1 million young people using their coding technology. They are a key educational partner of Roblox and have previously partnered with the BBC and Minecraft.

They've designed the most effective coding environment, with integrated content, to enhance children's digital skills. Primarily, they want to ensure young people are building games using real software applications and having fun while doing it.

Their technology guides children from the very first steps of programming in real languages, such as Lua, Java and JavaScript, while also developing their design and production capabilities and digital skills.

OnSide Youth Zones

Young people need our help now more than ever before. Whether it’s a lack of qualifications, or negative behaviour and attitudes, the current childhood crisis is real and well documented.

OnSide Youth Zones are designed to give young people aged 8–19 years old (25 for those with a disability) somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to in their leisure time; occupying their bodies and minds with fun activities, learning new skills and socialising in a safe, positive way.
