2019 Media guide
The 2019 Lord Mayor’s Show will begin on Saturday 9th November at 11am. This ancient procession and festival is loved the world over and regarded as a classic piece of British pageantry in the UK calendar. This year the procession is accompanied by a lively range of performances and family activities in the Show Zones at Paternoster Square and Bloomberg Arcade.

Show time for 692nd Lord Mayor10 October 2019: Military bands, giant teapots, dragons, African drummers, an inflatable pig, and a Red Dwarf Starbug will feature in the three-mile-long procession at this year’s Lord Mayor’s Show. The noisiest, largest, and most colourful event in the City of London’s calendar takes place on Saturday 9 November, bringing together over 6,500 people, 120 horses and over 60 decorated floats in a major spectacle that dates back to the 13th century.

Next Lord Mayor of the City of London elected2 October 2019: William Russell has today [2 October 2019] been elected as the 692nd Lord Mayor of the City of London. As the elected head of the City of London Corporation, he will serve as a global ambassador for the UK-based financial and professional services industry from 8 November 2019 for a one-year term.
Press accreditation
Media (written press, photographers or video reporters) interested in attending and covering the Lord Mayor’s Show 2019 are invited to apply for media accreditation. Please contact Jayne Pearce at jpearce@pearceinternational.com for further details.
There will be opportunities to shoot the Show from various designated photographer positions or media pens. There will also be a Media Centre located in Rooms 12/13 of the Ground Floor of Guildhall’s North Wing (Aldermanbury, EC2) open from 7:30am to 12:30pm on Saturday 9 November. Course maps, photography positions, order of the procession and timings will be available.
The deadline for media accreditation applications is Wednesday 7 November.
