This site places one google cookie in your web browser so that we can see how many people are looking at our pages. We also embed some content from facebook, which you can see by clicking on the little facebook logo at top right. They no doubt set and read some cookies of their own to decide who you are and whether you like us or not.

The google cookie is anonymous and tells us nothing about you personally. It’s just a little marker so that we don’t count you twice. After the Show, we use the figures for page views to work out how well we are doing, which parts of the site need improvement and what sort of thing people are looking for.

If you would like to tell us how to improve the site and what you are looking for, we are always glad to hear suggestions. Please write to Will on will at or tweet @lordmayors_show.

You have opted not to receive cookies through this site. This means that we are unable to count your page visits and that the facebook icon has become a simple link rather than an embedded widget. Click here to re-enable cookies.

If you would prefer that this site did not set any cookies, please click here to decline. That will set a functional cookie (lasting four weeks) that disables the embedded facebook widget and stops counting your page views. If you haven't declined, we will assume you don't mind being counted.
